Dan Morain ('77, Journalism, Social Science) was a reporter for 27 years for the Los Angeles Times and was editorial page editor for the Sacramento Bee from 2013-2018. He covered the California Supreme Court for three years when Rose Bird was chief justice, the Legislature when Willie Brown was Assembly speaker, Gov. Gray Davis. He helped cover several campaigns, most notably the 2008 presidential campaign, and is the author of Kamala's Way, An American Life.
